Abstract: |
Development communication consists of information plans and programmes about government's efforts to improve the standard of living of the citizenry. It appeals to citi¬zens to adopt new ideas and ways of doing things as it contains news and stories of achievements that spur and inspire the citizens for development. It seeks to persuade citizens to accept that their happiness and development lie in their hands and is en¬hanced by their adoption. This work notes that for this to work, development communication and policy makers in Nigeria should be concerned with finding effective and efficient ways and means of developing Nigerian communication institutions and environment. |
