Title: Development Communication and Nigerian Economy: A Relational Analysis

Abstract: This study set out to determine the relationship between development communication and the Nigerian economy. Survey research method was used. The work was anchored on the Development Media Theory and the Agenda Setting Theory. The findings show that development communication is at the heart of the development of Nigeria s economy: The study recommends greater democratization of the nation s media system to enhance freedom for the dissemination of development communication messages and strategies, among others.
