Abstract: Prior to the incorporation of the new media platform as a veritable tools for promoting activities of House of Oduduwa, the empire acknowledges the crucial role media plays on promoting the cultural Heritage. This study seeks to investigate the New Media and News Proliferation on activities of house of Oduduwa. The study used Inoculation Theory and adopted quantitative methods design. Purposive sampling technique was employed to collect the needed data for the study. Sample Size of 286 respondents was drawn from a population of 1000 employee. Data was collected through the use of structured close ended questionnaire through google online form. Findings showed that new media coverage affects both the quality and quantity of news delivery and this has increased the rate of proliferation of unscreened news getting into the society. The study therefore recommends that there should be proper empowering of the media department of the house of Oduduwa to have the authority to be the one to censor and screen any new media outlet that is coming into play in House of Oduduwa.
