Title: Perception of HIV/AIDS Advertisements among Students of Benue State University and University of Agriculture, Makurdi

Abstract: This study examined how the students of Benue State University and University of Agriculture, Makurdi perceive HIV/AIDS advertisements in the media. Survey research method was adopted. Findings indicate that the students have a positive perception of the messages, and they apply the information they receive from such advertisements. The study recommends among sustained efforts at keeping this vulnerable group of young people abreast with best precautionary measures from the HIV/AIDS diseases which has defied total cure. More HIV/AIDS awareness programmes are also recommended to enable students acquire adequate skills to manage their sex life.
