Title: Public Relations and Promotion of Socio-Political Inclusiveness in Nigeria

Abstract: Background: Nigeria's socio-political landscape is complex, diverse, and historically intricate, posing significant challenges to achieving inclusiveness. This research examines the potential of Public Relations as a solution to address societal divides, amplify marginalized voices, and foster a cohesive national identity. Objective: Using Situational Crisis Communication and Social Identity Theories, the study analyzes the effectiveness of public relations initiatives in promoting socio-political inclusiveness in the country. Method: The study explores existing literature and examines relevant case studies to analyze the effectiveness of public relations initiatives in promoting socio-political inclusiveness. Findings: Despite the challenges posed by resource disparities and institutional weaknesses, the study finds that public relations can play a pivotal role in addressing societal gaps. Strategic communication, advocacy efforts, and crisis management are advanced as effective tools for promoting inclusiveness and shaping a more unified national identity. Conclusion: The study concludes that public relations holds substantial promise as a transformative force for fostering inclusiveness in Nigeria. Stakeholders and practitioners in the field should actively consider and implement strategic measures to enhance socio-political inclusiveness in Nigeria. By promoting dialogue and equal participation, public relations practitioners in Nigeria can contribute to shaping a more tolerant and inclusive society.
