Title: Rhetoric Representation of the 2018 Presidential Primary Elections of the Peoples Democratic Party

Abstract: This study analysed the the derogative rhetoric of Ben Gordon, Vice Consul US Consulate Nigeria, that Nigeria is full of ‘energy’. Using Interjectional and Symbolic Theories, hinging on paralinguistic elements as viewpoints that emphasize intricate shades of meanings as well as tenets in forensic research, the paper is of the opinion that in exchanging political symbols, the hidden elements of rhetoric, plays a significant role that determines where the pendulum of public opinion will swing any day.
