Title: Social Media, E-Commerce Platforms and Working-Class Consumers Convenience: A Study of F O Farms Nigeria Limited

Abstract: This study investigated what motivates online shopping and whether social media transaction platforms reduce or increase stress for working class typified by consumers patronizing F. O. Farms Nigeria Limited, Asaba. Survey of 326 customers of F. O. Farm’s Facebook and WhatsApp platforms were studied. Findings show that with proper organization and trust as the watch words, social media transaction platforms have proved to be of immense benefit to the working class individuals who use them. Convenience tops the list of factors influencing their adoption of online shopping. The study recommends that operators of online business should maximise its convenience, guarantee the security and shorten the time of transaction and modernise their web designs to make them more attractive to customers.
